Plosia Cohen LLC is officially up and running. Not only are we actively servicing our clients, we are on the speaking circuit providing legal updates and opinions on critical issues affecting our clients' businesses and operations. Some of the upcoming events and seminars where you will see our attorneys include:
April 27, 2016: The NJ State Bar Association School Law Committee Dinner at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick will feature a program about the Affordable Care Act. The program is being presented by me and our trusted business associates from Brown & Brown Risk Benefit Advisors. This gives me an entree to give a quick congratulations to Plosia Cohen LLC friend and colleague, Brown & Brown Senior VP Ted Wardell, who is being honored by the New Jersey Council of Mayors with the prestigious Lee Veale Award. Before I met him in his current capacity as insurance consultant par excellence, Ted was the Mayor of Neptune City.
May 2, 2016: I will be moderating the New Jersey LERA Dinner (CLE!) Seminar at Il Castello's in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The Shakespearean name of the event is, "Overtime: To Pay or Not to Pay, That is the Question". If you can beat the traffic, it's hard to beat the outstanding Italian dinner you'll be served for a mere $50-$65 (depending upon your membership status in NJ LERA), with legal education and interesting conversation as icing on the cake. You can register to attend at the NJLERA webpage: Link. If you'd prefer, just click on this form: Form
May 13, 2016: I will be speaking at the Rutgers School of Management & Labor Relations - Spring Seminar about the proposed revised regulations with regard to the white collar exemption to the overtime rules. I'm almost as excited to speak as I am honored to be following two former members of the National Labor Relations Board - Wilma Liebman and Marshall Babson. For more information, check out: Link
May 19, 2016: at the New Jersey State Bar Association Convention, Jamie Plosia will be on the School Law Committee panel discussing the Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying ("HIB") law. Jamie is becoming an annual feature at the State Bar Association Convention! The State Bar has realized that hearing Jamie speak is worth the price of admission. Link
We hope to see our friends of the firm at one or more of the above-mentioned events!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
